WHO I AM
Historian
My historical research is focused on the American West from the 1860's to the 1920's.
Much of my focus is on telling the stories of people who lived on the legal margins of society.

Lawyer
My legal story began when I started working in my parent's criminal defense office at a young age. I remember waiting with my mom in the van outside of the prison while my father visited his clients.
​
I later went to law school in Texas where, as a student, I took special interest in legal research and appeals. My legal background helped me to develop an exceptional skillset for research and writing about history.
​
I am now a licensed attorney in Texas, New Mexico, and Washington. Yep, I took THREE bar exams. ;c)

Both my father and my sister are renowned criminal defense attorneys.
